OMG, Madge!

I was reading a review for Madonna's upcoming greatest hits package "Celebration" when I came across this little known gem:

born 2 be alive: P. Hernandez (Madonna dancer!)
Uploaded by GGG40. - Watch more comedy videos and sitcoms.

Apparently Madge was chosen to be a dancer/back up singer for this fuckery in 1979/80 who knew!? I think she's the "lead dancer" out front, but the vid is not the best quality so I can't be sure.

A new DISCOvery!

I was trolling through the first few posts made to a favorite blog of mine (joe.my.god) and saw this song mentioned.  Although I didn't recognize the artists name, the song title sounded familiar....and sure enough I was right!  Erasure covered this about 20 years ago as a B side to "You Surround Me" off their 1989 album, "Wild!"

I think I am way grooving on the original, it's awesome!
